Mapping Fellowship Disbursement Dynamics

Jul 20, 2026

This post presents an objective, data-driven analysis of capital flows originating from the Polkadot Fellowship treasury over an approximate 6-month period (since February 20). Using our visual graph tracing system, we map the lifecycle of these disbursements from initial treasury distribution to DEX liquidity routing and destinations across cross-chain bridges and exchanges.

01. Overview

The network topology demonstrates a hub-and-spoke distribution system. Capital is disbursed from the Polkadot Fellowship treasury before converging on liquidity hubs and exiting through distinct venues.

Note: To maintain visual legibility and information density, the macro graph highlights key representative entities rather than displaying every individual Fellowship member account.

Treasury ..rUNCnS aggregates large stablecoin inflows, notably $240.6K HOLLAR, before issuing disbursements in recurring stablecoin tranches to Fellowship accounts. A significant portion of recipient flows converges on Hydration, which acts as the primary liquidity engine for asset conversions. Outbound capital utilizes three primary pathways: EVM bridging (e.g., Snowbridge) for Ethereum-native stablecoins, direct transfers of native assets to centralized exchanges (e.g., Kraken, Coinbase), and programmatic routing through automated swap services (e.g., FixedFloat).

02. DeFi Hub

Rather than off-ramping their disbursements immediately, several key recipients actively engage in DeFi activities. They leverage Hydration as a central hub to supply liquidity, swap assets, and manage lending positions.

03. EVM Bridging

Tracing specific recipient sub-graphs reveals the operational mechanic of accounts swapping Polkadot stablecoins for Ethereum stablecoins in Hydration and subsequently bridging out through Snowbridge.

04. Automated Swap Services

Other recipient accounts utilize multi-stage programmatic routing mechanisms involving automated swap services and centralized exchanges.
